Position Summary:


The basic function of the forklift operator is to load and unload Trucks with molding and doors. Responsible for performing various duties, such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packaging and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock. Other duties as assigned.


Primary Responsibilities:


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Receiving, moving, checking and storing incoming goods. Checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring accurate quantity, type ad acceptable quality.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack in assigned areas
  • Locate and move stock or products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
  • Transport materials to production workstations
  • Inspect machinery to determine need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
  • Ensure appropriate quality (patterns) and correct quantity (piece count) of material ordered
  • Usage of SAWS if needed
  • Ability to follow all safety rules
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Review payroll system for accuracy and inform supervisor of any discrepancies
  • Maximize own time effectively, ensure all rest and meal breaks are taken to prevent meal/rest violations
  • Cover material ordered to protect against weather conditions
  • Other duties assigned to meet job requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge:


  • High school diploma
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment

Skills & Qualifications:


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


  • A forklift certification or working toward certification

Physical Demands:


  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job (standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.)

Special Requirements:


  • Communication skills (must be able to understand all written and verbal work orders and instructions)
  • Basic math skills
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs

Work Environment:


  • Majority of your time will be working outdoors, exposed to hot, cold temperature, dirty and dusty environment. Exposed to loud noises, working near moving mechanical parts or machinery.

Compensation and Benefits:


  • Full time position. Required to clock in and out using the biometric time clock system for meals and rest breaks.

  • Employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
